Some days I feel like absolute dynamite and that I can take on the world. I pair that with a dramatic look that shows how I feel on the inside and bring it to the outside.

Other times I use makeup to cover up how I am actually feeling; almost as a shield of protection.

The ability to tell your own story through makeup is a beautiful thing.

“You would look so much prettier without all that makeup.”

The number of times that I have heard this is absolutely ridiculous. Sitting down to do my makeup is almost like a therapy session; I am able to feel creative while simply being with myself.

Don’t let others make you question any form of creativity. If you like spending an hour on your face and you enjoy it, then do it! Screw anyone that says you shouldn’t. It is your face and you get to make the choice of how it is represented.
